In the past replacing sewer lines that had tree root infestations, cracks, or corrosion was a massive financial and timely deal. Manual digging by technicians pulled up lawns and floorboards in order to reach problem piping. This caused damage to the home or yard that had to be replaced once the service was over, adding extra costs to an already pricey ordeal. With the help of trenchless technology, none of those historical problems have to be entertained. Instead, homeowners can expect their homes to be in running order in a matter of hours.
CIPP Technology in Solving Sewer Problems
At Jim Dandy Sewer and Plumbing we take trenchless technology and what it can do for our customers seriously. With highly skilled technicians well versed in trenchless methods, years of experience, and a can-do attitude we pride ourselves in being Everett’s best sewer service technicians out there. That’s why we included CIPP methods in our trenchless technology arsenal.
CIPP, or commonly known as Cure In Place Piping, is a process in which a pipe is replaced by inserting a new pipe inside of the old. It is a type of technology that allows for “a pipe inside a pipe”. This revolutionary way to insert pipes without the need for digging is environmentally friendly, fast, and affordable.
First, a highly specialized camera is placed within the pipes. This camera can roll through pipes to determine the exact problem within the piping, the exact dimensions of a pipe, and the exact location of the damage. Our trained team is able to direct it remotely to allow coverage of any system. Once the problem is assessed and a diagnoses confirmed, a flexible epoxy liner is measured against the dimensions the camera was able to give to ensure a tight fit. This epoxy liner is then carefully inserted by machinery handled by a technician. Once in place, the flexible liner is filled with hot pressurized air that expands the pipe to fit perfectly against the pre-existing pipe. It is then left to harden for a few hours. After the process is completed the cured pipe acts and functions as a brand new pipe without the hassle of old methods.
CIPP is used when corroded or leaking pipes still have structural integrity, but need so many fixes that patch up jobs would be more expensive and less beneficial to homeowners. If you are experiencing problems within your Everett home, don’t hesitate to give our team at
