Jim Dandy Sewer & Plumbing - Pipe Bursting in Everett
At Jim Dandy Sewer & Plumbing, we understand the frustration of sewer system problems in Everett. In the past, this meant a costly and often time-intensive process in order to get your home to proper working order. Due to having to manually dig up piping to be able to diagnose and then restore cracked, corroded or broken pipes, homeowners could expect work to take days.
Not only was this time intensive, but costly too. With the traditional process of manually digging up of lines, lawns and floorboards were often destroyed in the process. This meant that homeowners or office owners would not only have to foot the bill for the procedure but also for the restorative methods of their homes and lawns afterward.
Luckily at Jim Dandy, our highly skilled staff of experts in the sewer technology field are capable of performing trenchless piping methods. Trenchless methods completely cut the need for manual digging of lawns and homes to reach pipes- leading to many procedures only taking hours instead of days. The cost of home repair after our technicians leave is no longer needed, as no digging will harm your lawns or floorboards in the process. Trenchless technology is making the impossible possible every day with radical new methods developing every year.
One such method is pipe bursting. Pipe bursting is the use of a device that cracks open un-usable or structurally compromised pipes. Technicians first insert a highly specialized camera to get an inside view of the pipes true problem. When this has been assessed and properly diagnosed, the camera also records the length and diameter of the pipe for the technicians to be able to use when selecting a new epoxy pipe liner.
Once dimensions have been secured, a flexible liner is cut to the dimensions of the previous pipe. Then our skilled team with insert a pipe burster into the pipeline. A hydraulic machine then drags the burster through the length of the pipe, cracking it wide open and leaving room for the new liner to be placed. The epoxy liner is then carefully maneuvered with machinery into the place where the previous pipe had lain. This new liner is left to cure in order to allow it to be fully transformed into a brand new fully functional pipe. This process only takes a couple hours from on-site diagnosis to completion.
