Sewer camera inspections
When you encounter sewer and drain issues, it is hard to pinpoint where the source of the problem is located. Before we perform any excavation or trenchless service, a technician will perform a sewer camera inspection. Sewer camera inspections begin with one of our expert team members finding the cleanout hole on your property or creating single access point to reach your troublesome drain. When the access point is created, the technician will insert a flexible rod with a high-definition camera attached to it into your drain. As the camera moves through your pipeline, it will present us with a live feed of your drain’s interior displaying any blockages, clogs, cracks, or leaks. It will also show the debris or build-up that has been accumulating within your system. From the camera inspection, our team can gather all of the essential information to design a solution that is best for you.
Open Trench Excavation in Washington
Our team at Jim Dandy Sewer and Plumbing is proud to offer traditional methods of sewer construction that provide thorough examination of you pipes for repair or replacement. Open trench excavation involves excavating and exposing the existing pipe, repairing or replacing, and then backfilling the trench. Depending on the severity the issue, the process will vary. First, the landscape, driveway, or street will need to be dug up to expose the pipeline. The excess materials will be taken care of and the pipe will be installed in the trench. When the pipe is finished being repaired or replaced, the landscape or pavement will be restored to its former state but with a new pipe underneath it.
Trenchless Sewer Repair Technologies
Open trench excavation is a traditional process that ensures your home or neighborhood will be serviced in a timely manner. If pipes are hard to reach, there are additional trenchless technologies that can be used to restore and replace pipelines. Trenchless pipe lining is a process where a sleeve saturated with epoxy is placed inside of your pipeline through a single access point. When the sleeve is inserted it pushes against the pipe’s interior coating all surface area and sealing cracks and leaks. The resin is left to harden with heat for a minimum 60 minutes and when complete, there is a new pipe formed inside of the existing pipe. If your pipeline is in need of full replacement, trenchless pipe bursting is a viable solution. Trenchless pipe bursting involves a hose with a special bursting nozzle being inserted into your drain pipe. As the bursting head moves through the old pipe, it breaks it up and pushes it into the surrounding soil. When the bursting head has moved all the way through your pipe it has replaced the old pipe with the new one. In addition pipe bursting can also be used if your system needs to upgrade pipe diameter.
At Jim Dandy, our team works tirelessly to ensure that you are happy with whatever excavation service we provide for your residential property. Our team is made up of industry experts who are standing by to solve your sewer repair needs with speed and professionalism.
